Exploring “The Secret Lives of Bats” at the Aquarium of the Pacific

On October 16th, Merlin spoke before a sold-out crowd as part of the First Wednesdays lecture series at the Aquarium of the Pacific. We had a wonderful time getting to meet MTBC members and fans, and introduce the crowd to Merlin’s presentation, “The Secret Lives of Bats.”

If you couldn’t attend in person or missed the livestream, you can watch the recording below.

We’re very grateful to the Aquarium of the Pacific and Adina Metz for inviting us and doing such a wonderful job promoting the event.

Merlin Tuttle answers audience questions after his lecture, assisted by Brett Long, the VP of Animal Care at the Aquarium of the Pacific, with a red bat projected behind them.
Merlin signs an attendee’s book, while others make bat-themed arts and crafts. Aquarium staff later told Merlin he’d set a record for length of questioning from attendees after a lecture.

We especially appreciate this beautiful video they put together using Merlin’s photos.

Video created by the Aquarium of the Pacific for Merlin’s recent appearance at their First Wednesdays event.
